Hypnotic susceptibility include children
Scale, 26 the hypnotic induction profile, 27 and
creative imagination Scale.28 This last
scale is quick to administer, requires no induction
and evaluates sensory imagination.
There is considerable overlap in hypnosis
literature on relaxation techniques, especially
PMR, which also includes elements of
"Challenge" and "Proposal". In addition, research
shows that patients may respond differently

procedural pain and distress in children with

Target
The review will assess the data from
controlled clinical trials on the effectiveness of
Hypnosis for procedure-related pain and the agony
in pediatric patients with cancer. The methodological
quality of the studies evaluated, and
highlighted gaps in the evidence. The potential
value of hypnosis for clinical practice
pediatric patients is discussed along
with suggestions for future research.
